Sowing the Seed

Sowing the seed,
my hand is one with the earth.

Wanting the seed to grow,
my mind is one with the light.

Hoeing the crop,
my hands are one with the rain.

Having cared for the plants,
my mind is one with the air.

Hungry and trusting,
my mind is one with the earth.

Eating the fruit,
my body is one with the earth.

I haven't been consistent with blogging, but I'm working on it. I will share more of our days to give more life to this space. May it be a place of growth and mindfulness.

  2. Oh I love this post. I just got a plot of land in a community garden, so excited to start planting.
Where in NC do you live? I grew up on the outer banks and moved to Asheville when I was 18!

    1. Oh my gosh, Demetria, we live just outside Asheville in Madison County! Small world. We have 3 acres here, with permaculture gardens and woodlands and a couple ponds. If you're missing the area, we could always do a swap :) We're heading out west soon to visit family in Colorado and hope to one day make it up your way. Blessings to you.
